Has anyone installed NS7.01 on a system still running Win95? We have Win95b on one of our computers still, only due to the fact I have not upgraded it yet because of the hardware in it. Its a Pent 200mmx cpu, 64 megs ram (wifes computer). She still has NS4.7.

    Basstracker,

I know a guy that put 7.01 on his system that had a non-MMX 166 processor and 80MB RAM. The only difference is that he had Win98. Still, his specs did not meet all the minimum specs and he runs 7.01 without any problems. Give it a try.

    Hi Basstracker,

I have Netscape 7.0 installed on a 5 year old IBM Aptiva; 166 processor, 64 MB RAM, Windows 95b, OSR2. It definitely doesn't blaze across the Internet, but it runs.

    Hi basstracker
Wife/kids are running 7.0 on w95b, it's 300Hmz/128meg. It will work, but could be slow. If you have a opportunity to bump the ram up, take it. With N4.7 co-excisting with N7.0 very well, gives you time to get upgraded to w98.

If you find Netscape 7.01 is too slow in that computer, you might want to use Netscape 4.80 (the latest of 4.7 series) instead.
Please note that Windows 95 is listed as support platform for Netscape 7.
