I've just installed netscape 7.0 from the Netscape cd I ordered. I can receive mail but can't send anything. I get a message that says something about SMPT. I've checked the preferences, but can't find where you set up outgoing mail.

    Any suggestions?

I am currently running on a 166mh using Windows 98

    Thanks

i had a same problem after installation
    open your mail agent
under Edit go to Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings
there check: just under your account name u'll find a tab "Server Settings" (this is for incoming mail), look for "user name" and "server name "
then go to a tab "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" and see "user name" and "server name" are the same as under the first tab
server name is usually like :
    "mail.yourISP.com "
in my case i had different user names, and couldn't send my mail out
