Hi dc4u2, and welcome to the Forum!

Do you mean save the profiles as in archive them? Or do you mean set up profiles on a Network Drive?

    Lemmeno,

    Ideally yes.

    I haven't tried.

For Netscape 6.x profile default locations, you can check http://sillydog.org/netscape/plocation.html

It is possible to change the profile location. One method to do so is that you firstly remove old Netscapes and their profiles completely out of your computer (backup first!).
Then install Netscape 6.2.1 or newer, the first time you start Netscape 6.xx (after the activation) you will be using a default profile created automatically for you in those default locations.
Next, exit Netscape 6.xx. Go to the the profile location (as mentioned in the link above), delete entire profile.

Next, restart Netscape 6.xx, you will be able to create a new profile, and then you can choose the profile location to Network drive.
Please note that above information are theorical, if any mistakes please correct me.

    Thanks for the welcome Ramona!
I work in a college enviornment and we are now on Netscape 4.7x. We use "roaming profiles ", that is, students/faculty profiles are kept on a network drive so they can retrieve them from where ever they are logged in on campus. When we convert them to Netscape 6.2 format, it automatically saves to the C drive. Is there a way to convert and force it to save to a network drive???

    dc4u2,

There are Netscape KB Articles on the subject, for the Netscape 4.x releases, which explain how to save profiles to a network drive:
Setting User Profiles to a unique location (network drive)

To date, there is no documentation for Netscape 6.2. The new Netscape 6 is still a work in progress, and many features have not yet been enabled. It will be some time before it can be considered a finished browser. The Mail & Newsgroups are still quite rough, and a very troublesome feature.

You might want to check out the Netscape 6 Newsgroups before switching to this browser. It will give you a picture of the problems being encountered:
