Have small problem w/Netscape 6.2.1 and email. I can remail but can not send anything. Am on Cox.net cable usin Win2k. Have checked w/cable co. and informed that they do not support Netscape.

How do I go about setting the email program to not only receive but also to send?

Thanks in advance for any and all help! Happy Holidays to all.

I believe the information you need from them is:

    incoming server (pop3) & port
    outgoing server (smtp) & port
Authentication needed (if any... smtp authentication or "check before sending ")

You might consider calling them back, and going through the setup for Outlook Express, then copying the information to Netscape. Most likely they do not need to "support" Netscape, but give you standard information that will allow you to use any mail program you choose. Additionally, the information might be on their website.

You might consider an upgrade to Netscape 7.0.1, it is supposed to be a big leap from Netscape 6.2.1.

What I finally had to do was create another account (both on server & Netscape) and move the messages to that one. Then deleted the original account and re-entered it as a new account.

Everything working fine now. Server Tech support was of no help.

Hope everyone has a Great Holiday...............:)
