Netscape 4.75 Installation Error

I have been trying to help someone reinstall Netscape Communicator 4.75 after she was finding errors during usage. However, everytime I run the installer program, when I get to the part where it detects previously installed components, I get a message box with the red and white "x" symbol and a title "Severe" with no text. What is going on? I deleted all the registry keys and uninstalled Communicator, but I did forget to reboot before I attempted to reinstall. Does this mean it's an unfixable problem? Thanks.

Welcome to the board! I'm sure that we can get you fixed up here. Try the instruction for a Clean Install. Follow all the instructions. Reboot and try downloading Netscape again. Here is the site that I always use. I know there are others, but I've always had luck with Netscape's site.

If that doesn't get you going, post back.
