I recently replaced my Wavewatcher TV-Video board in my PC with an All-In-Wonder 128. Everything works fine except Netmeeting, which can't seem to shed it's want to initialize my old Wavewatcher card which is no longer in the PC. I've tried un-installing and re-installing Netmeeting multiple times, as well as editing out any references to Netmeeting I found in the Windows Registry. No help. During a fresh installation of Netmeeting, it allows me to pick the new All-In-Wonder board as my capture device, but as the program continues to load, I get a pop-up window that states: "Can't Initialize Wavewatcher ", which is the old capture board that no longer exists. I gotta believe that Netmeeting has some other configuration file that gets left behind even after an un-install, and that this file is "remembering" to try and look for the old capture card. Make sense? Anybody know what this file name is? Or, if I'm off track, please point me in the right direction. BTW, I'm running Win98SE and Netmeeting 3.01. Thanks!

    Uninstall it like this!

Download and install but don't run yet.
    http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/shtml/regcleaner.shtml

Then go to add/remove and uninstall netmeeting again.

If it asks to reboot let it do so but catch it and go to safe mode.
If it don't ask go to safe mode and do the following.

Search HD for netmee*.* and delete all refs to netmeeting it finds.

Search HD for wavewa*.* and remove any refs to wavewatcher!

    Run Regcleaner

On its 1st page look for netmeeting, tag and delete all that reference netmeeting.

While here look for any entries for wavewatcher and remove.

Still in Regcleaner goto tools-registry-do them all!

Check Regcleaner startup list for any reference to these 2 items and remove.

Manually search the Registry for both of these and remove them.

Reboot to full mode, install netmeeting!

If this don't work, get ready to drop back and punt!
