I'm trying to remotely control a Win 98 box using NetMeeting's Remote Desktop Sharing from either a Win2k or XP Pro box, and through a Norton Internet Security 2003 Firewall and a Belkin router. The Norton Firewall is up on the origin (Win2k or XP Pro) and destination (Windows 98 box). I'm trying to remotely control the Win 98 box to help and support an 81 year old friend who decided to get techie at this age :). Does anyone know how I should set that up?

PS: The boxes not in the same subnet. I'll be in Orlando, FL and he'll be in Atlanta, GA. I will be able to know his WAN IP.

    Thanks!

LOL - Bitbyter, I didn't know about that link and it does look like it should tell calves just about everything he needs to know. Thanks.

I love the way you phrased your post though. More couth than I would ever have had. :D

But for the record, feel free to just jump in with additional info or if need be, to tell me I'm wrong or nuts or whatever. My skin be thick and I'm well aware that there is lots more stuff out there than I know anything about. There are often times when I think I'm standing firmly on base but a reality check shows I'm actually near the left field fence.
