My girlfriend recently bought an HP a1330n desktop computer. Everything runs fine and it has a very pretty display. So far so good.

However, when installing her previous NETGEAR Wireless Internet (USB Adapter), the computer crashed and rebooted. I thought perhaps her old software was corrupt or something crazy, so we bought a Wireless Card that installs in the belly of the tower. I installed the software, no problems there. I installed the card and when I booted up, the computer recognized it fine. All software was installed without a hitch or error and the computer recognized the new hardware.

After installation was complete, I was asked if I would like to disable Windows and use Netgear Smart Utitlity to configure my internet/connection settings. When I click on either "yes" or "no," the computer freezes up and crashes into a reboot.

I have no idea what the issues could be, given that both netgear products/software have caused a crash.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Oliver

I returned the computer that was giving me issues and exchanged it out for a new one. Unfortunately, I'm having the exact same issue. Netgear causing a stall, then a crash. Could it possibly be an HP problem?

    Thanks
