I am working within a large WAN.

I have one XP workstation on each LAN or Segment.

Each workstation across the WAN needs to communicate to a sql server.

I have 2 workstations on diffrent lans (one on each) that are presenting the same errors.

The Workstation presents "a duplicate name exists on the network "
    Using static ip numbers

    turned off computer browser services

the problem this is presenting is that I can't unc from the Workstation to the server, nor the server to the workstation. The NetBT erro 4321 tells me which ip will not allow my machine on the lan (no services are used on the lan)

Is there a workaround to this problem?
