Net Send:The Message alias could not be found on the network?

Hi Guys,
Windows XP operating system.Never experinced this problem since networked 5 workgroup computers (windows xp pro) when i try to net send from any computer i get an error.

"The Message alias could not be found on the network ".

Net Send requires messenger service (not windows messenger or msn messenger but the one listed in your services as just messenger) be running else you will get that error.

 

I've tried everything same issue,the service is enabled from services,i installed hotfix but still same issue,I was able to net send

If you do net view does it return the PC names you expect?

If you do net name does it work OK?

 

When i do netview

\\computer1\
\\computer2\
\\computer3\
\\computer7\

But still not able to net send
I've done everything?Any idea

 

How about net name?
