    Hi,
    I have been working on a Windows 2000 computer doing work unrelated to this specific error message...It all started after several instances of spyware and Adware were removed...There are approx 4 error messages popping up and until I fix one of them I'm not sure the others are related as a result of it or are independant of each other;

    Microsoft .Net Framework
    An unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. Click continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

    It appears from what I can decipher from the detail button is connected to HP.Cue.Video Playback Control...After I click on continue, nothing happens now but earlier a Windows Installer would attempt to download something.

    With this particular error message, the others that would also pop up after the desktop loads is: Uwasdc.dll, MFC71.dll and MWSBAR.dll...I have tried the fix for MFC71.dll and downloading it and on both occassions it could not complete the setup...It's getting very aggravating...Any assistance will be greatly appreciated...Thank you

    Hi,
    A little update...I inadvertenly stated when I was removing spyware and adware it was unrelated to the error messages, and I wanted to correct that because any time such is removed there's always potential for other problems to appear but in this case I was not sure is what I really was trying to imply.

    Anyways, I discovered afterwards that WinAntiSpyware was still lurking around in the shadows and I believe has been removed...As for the errors that are dll related, I am going to try and extract them from the Windows 2000 CD later this evening and hope that cures what I beleive is the only problem remaing...I will post back but will still be open for any suggestions in the mean time...Thanks

    Hi,
    Another little update...The owner of the computer unfortunately does not have a Windows 2000 CD so that option is out...The only two error messages I have remaining are "dghelp.dll and MCF71.dll" and both are a requirement. I think I have done everything under the sun to eliminate them, fix them and correct the possible contributing factor that generated them and no luck...
    Windows 2000 does not come with MSCONFIG and I can not seem to find how to enable the JIT debbugging which may stop the MCF71.dll from popping up (atleast that's what I am under the impression may prevent it) ?

    Hi,
    Final Chapter...Since I could not find any answers thru this site or google on what may or may not work, the computer was returned to it's owner and therefore I think we can close out this post...I thank everyone for their assistance...If I should be fortunate to find the much needed answers I will be sure to post them here...

    Are you sure the one file isn't mfc71.dll?

    Hi,
    Just a little update for information purposes...I found what I believe is good and much sort after information on the Net framework issue from www.computerhope.com

    As for posting back on whether or not it helped me solve the problem, may take days before I'll know because I no longer have the computer and will have to make arrangements to apply this new found info...(I want to stress this info is new for me, may not be new as for it's availability but wanted to share it regardless)...
