I reported this problem about a year ago and was hoping for a fix, but none has surfaced yet.

After installing the .Net update Windows ME Explorer Search stops searching, when doing wild card searches of drive C, in the .Net folders if a partial find is made in any of the .Net folders. The rest of the folders are not searched.

Can the .Net update be UN-installed or is there another fix for this problem?

    Hello olduser,

To uninstall .Net, you can use the Windows Install Cleanup tool http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301 When you use it, make sure that only what you want to uninstall is highlighted.

There may be other apps that depend on it, so be prepared to re install them. Did you install it because some programs indicated that they needed it?

    Regards - Charles

No, .Net was installed by Windows Update about a year ago. I have no idea what/when .Net get used.
