I am in a school and we run some excellent classroom control software called Impero. *I have a PC which had a disk fail.*

On rebuild with Windows 7 Pro I ran the Impero Client MSI - Impero fails to working and I'm getting a Microsoft.NET Framework 'unhandled exception' message popping up (constantly). details below. This doesn't mean a thing to me - hopefully it makes sense to someone on here?

The support guys at Impero have spent a fair bit of time on this with me today but the problem persists.*

If Impero seems to partially install then the 'unhandled exception' message pops up - the Impero consul icon is desktoped but trying to run it fails to contact the server. Uninstalling the Impero components again makes the PC happy.*

    Any ideas please?*

My next step is to wipe the HD and set the PC up again. Sadly we aren't running images!

    <configuration> <system.windows.forms jitDebugging= "true" /> </configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Ended up doing a clean install of Windows 7 then adding Impero at an early stage. All ok now.
