My Microsoft IntelliMouse w/ IntelliEye has recently become super sensitive. The slightest touch of the left button will send it carreening thru just about any list I'm scrolling. Example: in Outlook Express inbox I've got a list of messages including some junk e-mail I want to delete. I hit the delete icon for one, and it and the next two or three items get zapped. I've decreased the mouse button speed, then increased it, and neither seems to help. What's the real answer?

Did you recently change the color of the surface the mouse is sitting on?

I had one of those fancy things awhile back. I had the same problems. It had a mind of its' own which I did not appreciate. I went back to a good old fashioned Logitech and no problems since.

In fact I have two Logitech 2 button ScrollWheel wired Mice on this machine and no problems.

See if MS have updated drivers.

There is no grease, etc on the "intellieye" (maybe a misnomer by the sound of it :) ).

A USB connection? The USB drivers may need updating or reinstalling.

If you have some way of running it outside of Windows, it would probably point to drivers. Something you may want to get is BartPE Ultimate Boot CD. It's great for working outside of Windows (Linux CD OSs, etc).
