Nero BurnRights, no Authorization... What?

I recently decided to back up all my video files onto DVD and when I went to use Nero 6 to burn the DVD, I got a message telling me that I did not have authorization to burn on the computer, so I needed to download Nero Burn Rights. I was confused because Nero had always worked without that. The message just randomly appeared one day. Since then, I've not been able to burn with Nero.

I downloaded BurnRights, but not matter what options I select (Admins only, everyone, Group Nero), I still cannot burn. Nero now recognizes that I have BurnRights, but it keeps telling me that I am still not authorized to burn. Since I'm the only user, I AM the Admin. Nero just refuses to work.......

I mentioned this problem to a friend recently and he said that he had the same problem but he can't remember how to fix it, though he thinks he remembers the problem was related to having Alcohol 120% installed. I don't have that, but I do have Daemon Tools 4.0 x64-version installed... I highly doubt that is related to the problem, but oh well.

Has anyone else had this problem where Burn Rights won't give you, well, rights to burn?

Have a look at the last post in this thread. If the guy is right it would appear that Daemon Tools may cause problems with Nero installed.

I did some more searching on the problem and found lots more like it. You could have a look at the forums on their website (Daemon Tools). Everything I've found about it also mentions they're running 64 bit software.
