    Hello,

I recently purchased a new CD-RW and with it came a copy of Nero 5.0.. now I know it's not the most recent version but that suits me fine. I recently created a back file of my HDD and stored it to a folder and decided today to make a back of HD to disk. My question is in Nero advanced under File there is a ultility called HD backup and when I click on it the program opens up and give me setting options for the current task.... the one thing that is aggetating me is that it is defaulted for some unknown godly reason to 1/31 copys and nowhere is there a place to change that to 1/1 copys

If anyone here uses Nero and can tell me how to change that
or tell me what I might be doing wrong. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    FireDancer

    Hi FireDancer

Not used Nero 5 for HD backup, but have used 5 and 5.5 for some years for other burning. Suits me fine too :)

Had a look at the Burn HD backup and went through it as far as possible without actually burning.

I couldn't see on my version (5.5.9.17) the setting you refer to - 1/31 copies. In the Write CD dialogue box, Burn tab the number of copies is set at 1 and greyed out.

I wonder if the 1/31 copies refers to CD 1 of 31 required? Did you notice how many CD's were required for the backup in the first dialogue box that comes up - where you select the disk or partition?

You could check for an update to Nero here
