I don't know how it happened but my toolbar at the top of the page has everything reversed than what it use to be. the toolbar reads from left to right, File edit view Favorites etc, back and forward buttons and the stop refresh etc and then the address bar. All of this use to be reversed, how can I get it back to how it was. I know this may seem trivial but it is bugging the dickens out of me.

Pete, maybe I'm not calling it the right thing? Look to the top of your page while on the net and tell me what you see? Is that not a toolbar?

    TOOLBAR

A series of selectable buttons in a GUI that give the user an easy way to select desktop, application or Web browser functions. Toolbars are typically displayed as either a horizontal row or a vertical column around the edges of the GUI where they are visible while the application is in use. Most applications use toolbars as they give the user another option aside from pull-down menus.

I guess I could have said that the top edge of my Graphical User Interface is reversed from what it use to be?

First, make sure the toolbar isn't locked. Right click a blank space on the toolbar and if there's a check next to 'Lock the Toolbars' select it.

Now, to the immediate left of the word File, and to the Back button, and to the Address field, you will see a vertical bar. Place your cursor over that bar and it will become left-right arrows. Left click and hold, and the left-right arrow becomes separated by two vertical lines. Now drag each item (bar) up or down, or to the left or right to re-arrange it.

Pete was asking for clarification because instructions may vary, depending on whether you're inquiring about IE, Windows Explorer, Photoshop, Adobe, Word, etc. They all have toolbars, but they behave differently. ;)

Thanks again Noahdfear, I managed to get the address window back to where I wanted. I knew you could slide the areas back and forth but not up and down.
