Recently migrated to new PC and EVENTUALLY got all my mail and mailboxes over. Now when I first startup I can get my POP3 email wo difficulty but then I lose access. Rebooting resolves the problem. Using 7.2 (wish I had stuck with 7.1) and XP SP2. Any help appreciated!!!

    Welcome to the Forum, graydocer!

    graydocer,

    Try this:

Go into your Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
    Delete the account
Do NOT delete the account on your HDD, only in Netscape

    Exit Netscape, then reopen
Create a new Account, entering the Account information again

If you have multiple accounts, do the same for each account.

Let us know if this helps.

It depends on how you did the "migration ", or whatever you did.
What do you mean about 7.1? If you had it in the old computer it does not mean anything on the new one. If anything SP2 may have a detrimental effect.

    graydocer,

Found out a little more about this problem, which may or may not have any effect on your install:

SP2 installs a firewall by default. Disable it and see if that works. This is done through Security Centre | Windows Firewall, and selecting OFF.
