   Is there some way to increase the font size on BBS?

   That can be done in your browser; e.g., in Mozilla by editing preferences, fonts, and choosing a minimum font size. Unfortunately, this option doesn't appear to be available in IE.

   The option exists in IE - View > Text Size, but does not appear to work for the BBS, although it does on my Home page. Try it and see.
   
   Alternatively try increasing the font size globally through Display Properties.
