    HI all.

Got a big problem with "services.exe" on my pc. Five minutes after boot up and services.exe starts using 99%cpu and nothing else can be used.

I have logs attatched for you to look through. 1 is a hjt log and the others are made from a prograqm called PV which i was told about some time ago.Logs are here:-
    http://www.dvddealsuk.co.uk/logs.zip

The files with "new" in the title are the logs taken when the "services.exe" starts consuming all the cpu.

Services.exe is the correct one and is not a rouge. I have been all the way down the virus and spyware road and travelled back clean. There is a process that is being started and takes up all the cpu but i dont know what it could be.

Could anyone help !! please !!

    Many thanks

    John

You do have something that shouldn't be there, found in the PV logs. The first file is the one I have found in the log, the second one is reported to be with associated with it.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\directpt.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\directprt.sys

What you have appears to be relatively new, this page has more on it.

I would disable System Restore, then reboot into Safe Mode, and delete those two files.
