need some advice on backing up and burning please

    hy,im trying to make some back ups of my games.i have ner0 5.5 winxp pro 2100 amd g4 4600 512 ram.i also use winzip.one folder is like 878 mbs.i tried using nero to burn a copy but it says use a bigger media.my cd holds like 650 700mbs i think.i tried using winzip to compress a little but the best i got was 780mbs.having said that how do i compress it ?or find away to make a copy?i dont care if it takes 2-3 cds.i just need a good copy with all my settings ,cfgs, ect.thanks for any detailed instructions.happy holidays

    You can try this freeware or buy some backup program that spans cd's.

    Hi.

    That's always a problem, having a file larger than a CD can hold.

    Take a look here:

    There's lots of downloadable freeware file splitters that will do the job. Also, don't work too close. If the CD will hold 700mb, split the file down to around 500mb segments or less. Give the CD an edge. Be sure to read the blurb on each one to be sure it will reassemble the file after you dump them from CD back to hd later. You might want to download a few of them and play around with it to see which one you like.
