Hello, I hope I'm in the right forum. I searched for multiple recipients and that forum was closed.

I'm desperate! Been burning my eyes on websites for 2 months looking for a provider...without understanding what I see...I don't know what else to try. Please help!!!

All I need is to send out messages to my list of multiple recipients, without the serious obstacles my present server and/or my Outlok Express (don't know which) has been causing me. Also one that won't charge an arm and a leg. I don't have nor do I wish to create a website, if I can help it.

I'm trying out YahooGroup but it doesn't work: (1) most on my list don't want to subscribe to Yahoo, and (2) one person's comments go to EVERYONE's inboxes...sometimes interminably. So much for groups since the gmailGroup does the same thing and they both anyway allow only 100 or so per hour or 500 per day which isn't enough!

In Eudora's and in other forums some people send out to 7,000 recipients AND more!!! Yet when I request info, they tell me they allow about 100 or so.

Was told to use a free Linux based box...but I don't know how and couldn't find anything about this on their website.

Was also told I could get a free domain and send to as many as I wanted (this rather sounds like a dream...)

Anyone knows anything about these possibilities? Or others? I feel like a blind person reading Braille in an unknown language!

Thanks ever so much for any help/ideas! Adela

So you want to be a spammer:eek:

Might contact your ISP and or other ISP's about a "business" account.

Hi Steve...I can hardly be a spammer when ALL on my list have requested to be on it...)

So, there's no way I can solve my problem then, huh? Adela

Sending out masses of emails takes bandwidth. ISPs are in the business of selling bandwidth. So it's not reasonable to expect any ISP to provide all that extra bandwidth for free.

Since they are in the business of selling bandwidth, call them and ask them what they can do for you. Keep in mind that you will have to pay for their product. The only questions you need answered are will they sell you the bandwidth for your stated purpose and how much they want you to pay. Once you know that, you decide whether you want to pay it.

Thank you Miz, I understand this well, but my servers tell me the same thing whenever I complain: that I'm allowed to send to 400 recipients per hour. I sent 250 and it did the same, as well as when I split my list into 100s and then into 50s per hour and in each case my msgs got held up in the outbox for hours, sometimes for days, the last one stayed in the outbox 6 days!!! Until I had to split it into 25 names at a time, which then I have to work at least 10 times to send just only one message!

And THIS is what disturbs me so much that instead of looking into this, my servers just repeat I'm allowed 400! I wrote their CEO and chm. of the bd... and not even the courtesy of a reply!

If I only knew all that hi tech jargon I come across when searching, then I would be able to search more intelligently. As it is, I don't understand what all those tech words mean and so I can't tell if they do what I need or not. Sigh!

    Thanks again. Adela

Design a webpage or blog that contains the information your people wish to view. Then all you would need to do is send them the URL one time.

Thanks Whiskeyman, but this isn't the way we work. People on my list (including myself) are very interactive in different ways from a blog... But what I'll do...not even god knows! :)

    Thank you anyway. Adela
