My old icon restore for XP doesn't work in Win7.

I tried a search but could not find one.

Please recommend a reliable desktop icon save/restore for Win7?

    Mr. Bill,

It's possible I wasn't very clear in my needs. All I want to do is save the desktop icon layout in case it gets scrambled and then restore the layout the way it was, if needed. Reading the description of the link it seems to mention other things than this.

The link also mentioned it doesn't work in FF?

    I'm confused?

I guess that I didn't understand what you wanted. When you said restore your Icons, I thought that you meant to what there were before a PC gets rebooted. Not put them back on your desktop. That is going from your first post. I have all mine hid on all my PC's and used Desktop in the task bar when I want to find one of them.

I didn't know anything like that existed outside of system restore. Can you show a link to the tool you used on XP?

I used to take screen shots of my desktop, menu, and certain system settings before doing a reinstall of the operating system so I could rearrange things they way they used to be.

    Bmoore,

Sorry I missed your link. I'll give it a try.

    Thanks,
