Windows Vista need help wireless internet doesn't work

    hi I'm new and my wireless internet doesn't work I need help please

    when it trys to connect it fails and then when I diagnose it then it said wireless association failed because windows didn't receive any reponse from the wireless router or acess point.

    and I know the router or acess points work because I could of connect to them before

    anyone with the knowledge on how o fix this please help me and any one else with this problem

    hi,
    I know LAN, not wireless, I can only give you the first basic step because you have not mentioned it. Put the computers in close proximity to rule out a signal problem and give a strong signal so that any troubleshooting can be carried out without possible signal interference.

    There should be some troubleshooting information in the manual for the router (it may be on the installation CD). You could check through that, then report back you what you have tried, or what you are unsure of, for somebody to help you.

    You will probably need to give details, like make and model numbers of the router and wireless card.

    This may get the ball rolling at least.

    well thanks for the help but my wireless started working and then shutdown on me and I have a laptop
    also were is the wireless card and I get serves from wireless freespots. wireless freespots are areas were u can get free wireless. but I don't know how to work it from my home let alone how to acess my wireless setting
