If anyone can tell me who the Manufacturer of the SD Card in the attachment is, I will be eternally grateful.

    Many Thanks.

Virtually impossible I would say - that appears to be a generic card. Do you have a particular problem with it?

Thanks to all for the replies.

I had already tried Everest and this did not help, although I may have missed something.

As to the Card itself, it has somehow become 'Write-Protected', and therefore unusable, and I was hoping the Manufacturer would have a solution for this.

Actually, maybe there is another way to correct this problem, so if anyone has any ideas ???

    Many Thanks.

I wonder if your digital camera has the facility of Image Protection - have a scan through the menu.

From the Canon EOS 10D handbook ....

Can you go to store / website where you purchased the card and ask for manufacturer identity? If it was a gift, ask them where they bought it from.

Thank you all again for the (very prompt) replies.

Unfortunately, I purchased this on eBay and the Seller is no longer in Business.

My Camera's do not recognize the Card at all, and my Reader/Writer will read what is on the Card, but that is it. I think it must be reading the info from a File Acquisition Table of some sort because it cannot do anything with the actual files themselves.

And finally, these Cards are now fairly inexpensive so it is no great loss. It is just that I like to find solutions for problems in case they are simple, and I run into something similar in the future.

    Many Thanks again to all.

Is there a switch on the card you can slide that you can make the card write protected one way and set the other way you can write to it?

I just got my first camera a few days ago... One thing I noticed in the menus on my way to an erase all function was a format card function. If you have a format function it might be worth a try. Remember that I don't know much about cameras so this is just thrown out there.

Although the card is labeled MMC you say it is a SD and you're correct about that. MMCs are RW while a SD is RO without it's switch. The moral: they're interchangeable so don't buy SDs.
