Need help computer dummy here

    I have windows 98 and can't open anything in paint. Get message Paint cannot read this file. Not a valid bitmap. File or format is not currently supported. It is PDF format. How do I fix this problem? FYI I can't do anything in paint!!

    Hi Kim welcome to the board. You need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to open PDF files. Heres a link to download it's Free.Reader

    Paint can open picture files that end with .bmp

    Hi Kim...

    Just to add on to LD's post...

    You might want to reconsider installing Adobe Reader 5.05, which is the latest Win98 version from the Adobe link that LD mentioned, unless you have a decent PC. At work we found with our older PC's running Win98se that if they didn't have at least 64 MB RAM (I know pretty low ram) running Adobe 5.05 cause the PC's to slow down.

    I recommend go to http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=acrobat and downloading version Adobe Reader 4.0.
