    Hi

Basically I have set screen resolution to big for my monitor by mistake.. now it tells me it is out of range and I can not see the screen. Is there a way of changing the screen resolution back to 800 by 600 with out removing the graphics card altogether and reinstalling the software?....for instance outside of the windows environment. My problem is my monitor connection does not fit the motherboard and only the GeForce FX 5500 card I have.

    Or, will reinstalling windows help?

Any help you can give me will be very welcomed.

    Thanks

GabrielRaziel - Welcome to the Board :)

Start your computer in Safe Mode - hit F8 repeatedly as soon as the POST screen appears and select Safe Mode from the text screen.

In Safe Mode only the basic Windows Drivers are loaded and the monitor resolution should be 800 x 600. Go into Device Manager and uninstall/remove your graphics card. Reboot. Windows should see the graphics card and load the drivers. If the problem of out of range persists boot back into Safe Mode and uninstall the graphics software through Add/Remove Programs. Reboot back into Windows normally and reload the graphics software.
