    Hi all,

Is there a way to delete a recent post? I tried to find a check box or something for this, but could not find anything.

Also, I was trying to add a URL link to a word in a message recently too, but all I saw is a way to add URL tags without a word or phrase included.

I believe you need to PM a mod or admin to delete the post. As for the URL tags (url=URL)Text(/url). Replace ( ) with [ ].

  3. to hide this advert.

No, you are not allowed to delete a post.

When you add the url, it will be listed with the actual URL selected. Just type over....

Check out the FAQ, where you'll find an explanation of the BBcode

Ok, thanks! I’m so used to being able to delete my posts in other forums...I didn't realize I couldn't do it here.

    Arie--
    "Just type over... "????

Does one of the options at the top of the Post Reply page do this?
I always just post the actual URL by typing it into the Post Reply page. Post Reply makes it a link by automatically adding the {url} bit. I have been too lazy to go through whatever you call giving the URL a name.

I was having a little trouble figuring this out myself.

The world icon w/ a chain link is the thing that I clicked to enter a URL / word-phrase combo. After you click on the icon, a box will pop up asking you to enter the URL address. After that is pasted in the box, click ok.

Next, you will see the results in the text reply box, and there you will see a portion of it highlighted. All you have to do is start typing a word or phrase, and that word or phrase will be become a clickable link when you submit your reply.

I hope I made some sense here...I'm not the best at explaining things. ;)

    Couldn't have said it better.

Again, check the bbcode explanation (samples are given).

    Here

If the above works, many thanks, James Martin. :)
I knew the vB code thing, but as I said, I am too lazy to use it manually. ;)

Or (I'm sure many of you know this) type your reply or post and then highlight the word in it you want to use for the link, then click the globe icon. Copy and paste the url in, click ok and the word you highlighted is now a link.;)
