Need fast help with a Gateway solo 2300.

Hi all, I could really use your help with this. I got my son a Solo 2300 laptop and we have a problem.

Sometimes the display would flicker or get lines in it, if you move it around it would clear up, it has gotten progressively worse.

I took it apart and the LCD cable is busted! (Looks from age and were not abuse).

I can’t find a cable any were, I contacted Gateway and they no longer carry 2300 parts.

I looked on the web but can only find displays, no cables.

If someone could point me to a place the deals in used Gateway solo parts I would really appreciate it, this is a perfectly good laptop and I hate to junk it!

All I need is the LCD cable, otherwise the laptop is in A1 condition with case and all the original software and hardware.

I cannot find that part anywhere either. Trouble may be that is the part most suseptible to breakage, thus no more left around.
The Solo 2300s had various sized screens.

Last hope would be to search at the Sanyo website.

See if you could get a 2300 cheap on Ebay, then you would have a full set of spare parts.

The closest search result I found were using "Solo 2300 LCD cable harness ". The parts suppliers, like that one in the link above, ask for you to email them if you cannot see the part listed. Try emailing a few, they may have other sources of supply.
