I have two (supposed) back up programs and cannot get them to work.
Power DVD and Nero Smart start.

When the power DVD opens, any file I try to load into the Copy page, says "Cant use file type"
So maddening. Nothing about that in the error tables either.

So I thought you guys might suggest another free backup software I could download and use. Hopefully it will have directions that are man-readable too.

I'd like to start a Backup and get my whole PC on the backup. Even if it takes several disc's.

Is recommend DiskImageXML. It's a free imaging software that can make an image of your entire system.

I suspect you may be selecting active files that the system will not allow you t o copy. That's common with simple freeware backup software. The one I linked doesn't have that problem and will copy those active files.

If you want to spend the money for something much better, I recommend Acronis True Image. It can make incremental images which allows for a greater depth of date coverage in your backups without using too much space.

I got DiskImage and was shocked at what I saw, or didn't see.
I was expecting Man-Readable directions. Simple statements.

What I saw looked more like a fancy Partitioning tool.
Did I get the wrong thing?
