NDNuninstall6_38.exe (Found using Free Online Trojan Scan)

    i did a search for this (on this site) and nothing found, i ran http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/trojanscan.asp and the results show C:\Windows\NDNuninstall6_38.exe and under the Diagnosis column it states Adware.NewDotNet.

    any hints on removal appreciated thanks.

    First look in the control panel>add/remove programs and see if New.net is listed. If it is, uninstall it and reboot. Then navigate to C:\Windows and delete the NDNuninstall6_38.exe file. Otherwise, locate and delete the file. Empty the recycle bin. You may need to show hidden files and folders to see it.

    In the add/remove list there is no new.net so I located the file which was not hidden and easily saw when arranging by name. I deleted and emptied the recycle bin before restarting.

    Thanks, that was an easy one, I just figured there would be some registry changes to be made so sought advice.
