Occasionally the recipient of my e-mail says that the term nbsp appears throughout the message. I'm not sure, but I think it may only happen to recipients who have AOL. My ISP is a cable Optimum Online and my e-mail uses Netscape Messenger. Does anyone know what is nbsp?

    Thanks,

    grandpa :)

I think you mean "& nbsp" (space inserted so that the text shows!) which is HTML code for a non-breaking
    space.

The recipient of your messages is not viewing in HTML format (or has a client which does not support HTML) and so is seeing the unformatted code.

Sending mail to this particular recipient in Plain Text format (rather than HTML/Rich Text format) will resolve the issue.

Thanks for the reply, Brett. I'm a bit surprised, though, because this recipient uses AOL, which I'm sure supports HTML/Rich Text format. However, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

    Thanks again,

    Grandpa :)

Hmmm ... you're probably right. Maybe, like OE, the AOHell mail client has the ability to display messages in Plain Text format only.
