Netscape 7.02 just installed. I can't compact, I can send but not receive. All settings are the same as 7.01. Any suggestions.

    I am running Windows 98-SE

    Welcome to the Forum, tpolevoy!

    Hi Terry,

If you are using a Theme other than the default Modern, revert back.

    With Netscape closed:
Do a "Find" - Start|Find|Files or Folders - for *.msf
    Delete all files found

Start Netscape and send an email to yourself. Are you now able to receive mail?

If not, then your other option will be to Creat a New Profile.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
I see folders named .msf and there is one for every folder. I also have used 4.78 Netsape on my PC and my Macintosh.
I still can' t figure it out, but will try when I get home tonite.

    Hi Terry,
The MSF files are the Mail Summary files, and often are corrupt. On restart, Netscape rebuilds these summary files, which usually restores your Mail functions. Note that Netscape must be closed when editing and/or deleting Profile files.

This workaround is for Windows, and I am unable to help with your Mac, as I am totaly illiterate in this area.
