NAV Intelligent Updater vs Automatic Live Update

    I have a current subscription to Norton Anti Virus and frequently use the Intelligent Updater service to manually download new virus definitions.

    Prior to using it this morning, I noted protection against a level 3 virus (W32.Beagle) was released 1/18, yet the Status screen for NAV on my computer showed virus definitions as of 1/16.

    Why isn't NAV downloading the new virus definitions as they are released to the public.? Did I over-ride Automatic Life Update by downloading manually?

    Automatc Live Update updates the definitions once a week, on wednesdays.
    If something exceptional should occur, the definitions get updated out of this interval.

    The Intelligent Updater gets the new definitions immediately when they are released.
