N7 won't sort bkmarks by name

    just installed N7 last night.... "sort by name" is checked by Netscape won't comply....tried other sorts, too....won't work

    Hi broni,

    See if this works for you:

    Open Bookmarks
    Select "Manage Bookmarks "
    Click on the Column heading "Name"
    Click again and the sort will be in descending (Z to A) order.

    Since the sort is in ASCII order, names starting with a lower-case letter will appear at the end. Capitalize the first letter to get the items in alphabetical sequence.

    well, not solved 100%
    under "manage bookmarks" everything looks OK, but in Navigator window when i go to bookmarks in some folders they are perfect in others not sorted at all, or 1 or 2 are out of line

    Hi broni,

    You are not alone! According to the Netscape Champions there are at least 5 bug reports on sorting bookmarks. It was also pointed out that the Release Notes hint at the problem:

    strange....i reinstalled N& because of that other problem with "navigator.xul" (this got fixed by reinstalling),and
    now under "Manage bookmarks" they are perfectly sorted, but still in Navigator window, when I click bookmarks, they are not
    I tried Ramona suggestion to export them to N4.7, but clicking there to sort them won't do a thing
    i guess i have to wait for N7 update
