My windows starts in minimum color and resolution

My windows was recently opened in safe made. But now each time i start it in normal mode, Its set at 16 colours with a resolution of 640x480. I've tried changing this but when i restart my computer its still the same. How can I fix this?

Also my speakers and mouse stopped working. I managed to fix my mouse (by changing it from a corrupt driver) but im totally clueless on my speakers. It doesnt seem to be able to detect them, although they were working perfectly before. Please help

Also, my system restore doesnt seem to be working, I wait a long time but nothing happens.

 

I suggest using Scandisk to check for drive problems.
Then you need to install your video and sound cards' drivers. Don't know what they are?
Right click on My Computer, and select Properties. Then click on the Device Manager tab. They will be listed.
Or get Everest, it will identify them for you.
