My Win FAx died

    I've been using Win XP FAX for a long time. Now, suddenly, it doesn't transmit.\

    I checked the connection to the phone system and that's OK. How do I proceed to find the disconnect.

    Any additional information in your event logs?

    Anything in Device Manager showing a large yellow question mark to indicate it isn't recognized (so, not working)?

    Any chance of trying a restore point from before the problem started?

    Restore isn't an option. I only use the FAX a couple of times a month and have made too many changes to try that.

    Device Manager shows no problem.

    I will hook a phone onto the line that is going into the computer to be sure I have a live phone line.
