My search for files & folders text missing

Hi From texas !

It dissappeared off the face of the earth. Go to START > SEARCH - on the left of the page is no where that I can put the file I am looking for.No bar for me to type it in or instructions.The only thing showing is the dog!. Everything is a blue blank!. To the right is the search results part and it is ok. It hasbeen this way for a longtime. System restore would have to go back 9 months to be of any good. it is insane to think of re-installing XP just for this . I might have to give in and contact Microsoft. I have only used Microsoft two times in 3 years.. It is getting late and it will probably be Saturday afternoon before I canget back to this post. See if you can think of things to try. I will make a system restore point before trying stuff.--------------------Don

Yup on AgentRansack. I can't remember the last time I used Windows Explorer to search since I installed that app. Smarter, faster, more options, free.
