My Screen goes white in a square pattern....

): i dunno what else to do! just all of a sudden my computer is freezing on me with a white square pattern screen, sometimes right when it starts up, or when im in IE, at first it just came up with a white screen and flickered, the second time after restarting it came up with the square (kinda checker bourd) pattern.. then went white and flickered alot more ): now it keeps doing it...... i have norton system works, i run it all the time and it doesint find anything, i searched for any kind of simililar problem and i found nothing!

when it comes up in the square pattern, there tiny tiny sqaures... ones white, then the next is faded but sorta transparent to where you can see the background, and its like that on the whole screen, but i can still move the mouse and use things like cntl+alt+del. it either does that or turns completely white and flickers ): then i can't do anything at all when it does that.

Well, i hope someone can help.....

that exact same thing is happening to me, it comes up with a checkered pattern squares that aint all lined up right... and its sometimes red or blue, but i mostly get the white screen....

take out the video card?..... hmmm.... im gunna try that. i have like 5 other computers in the house so its not a problem.
