My HP Deskjet 3420 thinks it's printing...it goes through every motion and it sounds as if it is printing, too, but the result is a blank page. I've tried a million things to get it to work, and nothing has seemed to help. Please, I'm desperate and need to get some invitations sent out...I just want it to be fixed.
    Thanks for reading.

    Hi mineekiko

Hard for us see "it goes through the motions... ", but my first suspicion would be the printer cartridge(s). If the printer has not been used for a long period, ink in the print area of the cartridge can dry out. Possible your cartridge(s) are empty. If you have a new one, pop it in. Don't forget, most printers should go through a "align print" test after a cartridge change.

    UPDATE ---- Additional question

When printer goes "through the motion" paper stock is pulled in and eventually passes through the printer.... correct?
