My posting vanish?

Hello - I am somewhat of a newbie, but a well behaved one.
I have replied to several questions with my thoughts, proposed fixes, etc. However, upon later returning, I discover my posts never were posted.
They were innocent ones, no self promo, bad words, etc. Just (hopefully) helpful replies.
Here is what seems to happen:
1. After pushing "submit" I get redirected to an advertisement that just won't go away. I have come back hours later to see same ad. I exit out of Firefox. Return, to find my posting was "lost in space "
2. I have actually submitted using IE (not my preferred browser) and then found my posting on-line a few minutes later. Then I return an hour or two later, and it has vanished! Removed from the discussion. Nobody had replied, so I have no idea if anyone else saw the posting or how long it had been up.
It is frustrating to spend some time writing what I hope to be a useful contribution for the community, only to have it vanish.
What am I doing wrong?

 

According to the Statistics on your public profile page, you have made 20 posts. I found them, still there, still available.

To find them, just click on your name in your post in this thread and in the menu that pops up, click on the "Find more posts by bruhowes" or click on "View public profile," then on the Statistics tab.

 

Thank you Miz. Yes, I see these postings. But still about 6 or so are not there. lost in cyberspace? Did the advertisement eat them up?

 

I don't know why a few of your posts would have disappeared although the inability to proceed past the ad is the likely cause.
