my pointer disappears

    Seem to have started out of the clear blue sky. The pointer for my mouse (Microsoft IntellMouse Explorer) blinks off and on, mostly off. Advise?

    That generally indicates a problem with the video adapter or driver. Try uninstalling the card while running in safe mode and reinstalling it using the latest drivers. Refer to the manufacturers specifications for your particular board.

    Reinstalling the mouse driver is a possibility as well but not as likely.
