Everytime I open "My Pictures" something strange happens.

Rather then the Pictures sidebar on the left I get a security warning saying "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted... "(that's all that I can read without the rest being cut off)..

If I click on that I get these options:

    Allow Blocked Content...
    What's the Risk?

    Information Bar Help

I've looked around and nothing. Anyone know how to remove this? I can simply exit out of the little menu each time I open My Pictures but what a pain that is... it's never been there before.

    Any ideas?

Yup. You've run smack into some of the new security features Microsoft included with XP SP2 and with IE6 SP1. The problem was web pages you saved to your PC suddenly getting all sorts of rights because they became 'trusted' when on the hard drive.

Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer are so closely tied together these days that the 'security fix' has affected things that maybe weren't really intended.

More information (and ways to disable the behavior if you are comfortable editing your registry) Here.

If you want to do lots more reading, do a google search for xp local machine zone
