my pc is haunting me

My pc is haunting me. it is so slooooooooooow. installed norton 2004, or think its installed. Can't get it to open up or scan anything. I tried to remove it and reinstall, but add/remove programs says its already installed/removed and try restarting pc before continuing. i've done all this and still won't delete. Also some of my desk top items, either won't open or opens so darn slooooooow.......i've scanned disk, defragmented, cleared history etc. p.c. is really doing some strange stuff. i was told to go into configuration and do a few things, but made it worse. Now i don't know what to do. Please help. jackie

 

Hello Jackie,

Do you have a System Restore point just prior NAV install? If so, restore to that point.

Forget NAV - too big for ME - try AVG, there is a free version.
