    Hi Good people,
Need some help getting to the bottom of this.

Today my son asked me if he could print a page he had composed for homework on my printer, I told him: turn on my printer and print from your computer. It would not print.

I have 4 laptops and my main desktop Computer connected to a netgear WGT624 v.3. The laptops are wireless and the desktop is wired to the router. All computers are setup in a way that all computers on the network can see each others files.

Trying to find out why he could not print, I discovered that no one can see the other computers on the network. However, all have access to the internet.

The only thing that changed in the last week is my boys got an IPad and an IPod. Both show up in Attached devices in my router setup screen.

Is it possible that my router can not handle IPods & Ipads?
I know it can handle all my computers at the same time.

Is it time to replace the router?

    Thanks for your input
    Sven

Just a thought - have you tried shutting it down then booting it up again both as your son and another member of the family. If it works as the latter and your network is again visible it could be his profile has become corrupted?

All 5 computer have the same problem, no one can see the other computers. It's like there is no network installed. Since this first happened, all computers have been re-booted because they get shut down at night. I also have unplugged the router and reseated all the wires. No luck.
I have decided that it must be a router problem and ordered a new router. this time from VIZIO that will have wireless "N ".
    Thanks

    Update:

I connected my new VIZIO router and I have my Network back.
That confirms I had a bad router.
    I will mark this Resolved
