Netscape 7.1 'Help' is missing ... and I don't know whether I've 'lost it' or it simply never arrived.

I upgraded my browser and while it works much better than the older browser, I do have a couple problems.

    1. When trying to delete an address from address book, the little 'delete' tab won't 'light up', so impossible to delete anything.

    2. I then tried to click on the "Help' button along the top bar of computer screen and absolutely nothing happened. I then hit the F1 key - and again nothing happened.

Finally, by using Start>Find>typing in 'help' I located the Netscape 'help' section within the computer itself...but when I clicked on it, while it opened showing the proper little 'help box including tabs, it was completely blank. Nothing at all in it. (Drat!).

I'd truly rather not 'reload' the entire Netscape 7.1 browser (I tried that with the older one and while it did over-write most of it, I was left with more than a tad of a nightmare).

If anyone knows where I can download only the 'Help' part of the N7.1, I'd truly appreciate it. (And please, if possible, could you make the steps easy to follow? I'm learning as fast as I can, but at times it still a wee bit overwhelming).

    Thank you ever so much...
    With kind regards, Mara

It seems to me that a number of files were missing in you installation. I would suggest you download a new copy of Netscape (not installer) and reinstall Netscape again.

    Hi Anthony,

Thank you so much for not only the advise, but for providing the links for the two wonderful sites.

The moment I finish downloading the proper thing, I shall return to both and 'rummage' around learning everything I can about Netscape, etc. (How I wish I'd found these sites before I spent agonizing hours searching through the actual 'Netscape' site - smile! And I shall send friends that are using Netscape links to both sites, if you don't mind).

One final question, if I may (and my computer ignorance is truly showing here, I know) ...

At the first site, I 'skipped' over the 'installer', as you suggested and then managed to 'stump' myself over the remaining selections. They are:
    N7.1 (full)
    Navigator (stand-alone) and
    N7.1 (streamline)

I'm unsure which of the above is the appropriate one to download in order to find my 'Help' section and perhaps 'activate' the little 'delete' button in my email address book part.

I do hope you won't mind rescuing me this final time, Anthony, and thank you again for your assistance.

    With kind regards, Mara

    Hello Mara,

either will do. For a comparasion, please check this page. If you download the Navigator (stand-alone) you won't be able to use Netscape Mail or Newsgroup reader.

Before you re-install the newly downloaded Netscape 7.1. Please make sure that you un-install current copy of NS first.

If the problem still exist, please try to create a new Netscape profile.

    Glad to help.
