I just bought the InelliMouse Optical and I like my mouse speed to be as fast as possible. With my old mouse, ball type, the max speed was fine. The new mouse is a little too slow for me. Is there a reg. hack or somthing to make the speed faster than the default max-speed WindowsXP allows?
This is just in WindowsXP, not games.

Did you install the intellimouse software? If so, look in the mouse applet in the control panel. You should be able to adjust how fast your mouse moves there.

Thanks Zander, yeah I did install the software, actually the newest ver. 4.1 (4.0 on the disc that was in the box) and I just wish it was a little faster.
Oh well, guess I'm outta luck.

I know what you mean. On my win 98 I've got an older version of intellipoint installed and the mouse speed can be set quite a bit faster than it can on my XP with 4.0 installed. The only dif I can see in the settings is the lack of the pointer acceleration feature that's available in 3. If I don't use the acceleration feature it seems to be pretty much the same speed as 4.0 on XP. myself prefer it faster too. I might try uninstalling mine and try the older version on my XP just for the heck of it. Just never get around to it. :) Wonder why they removed that feature in the newer version. ???????
