Windows Vista my laptop stuck when open some videos and softs

Hi every body,
I have win vista home premium on my Toshiba u400-157 laptop before several days my system work perfectly and then when I wont to open selected software's and videos my laptop get stuck until I turn it off and restart.
any one can solve this problem THANKS....

 

Try running a System Restore back to (at least) a few days before the problem started happening (look up System Restore in Help and Support).

Do you have plenty of free-space on your hard drive? Clean out your temporary internet files (best from Tools -> Options in your browser program) and then do a disk cleanup.

It could be drivers. Go to the Toshiba website and look up the driver updates for your model. Start with the chipset drivers, then install the graphics, then audio, then any others. Also look for any important software program updates.
