    Hello all,

Well after alot of hem hawing around I have finaly made my purchases for my new machine. I wanted to drop a line and see what ya all thought, LOL at the risk of being told that I could have done better!!!! But anyways I had posted a few threads and really didnt finish them out as my buisness got in the way..but we got to have that GOD allmighty dollar right? First off I hope that each and everyone here and all over had a wonderfull christmas, I know I did... LOL I guess i would have seeing how I got my hands on the Credit Card :D

First off I bought a ThermalTake Xaser III case with plenty of cooling in it , (6 fans in all). I like the case for its cooling capabilitys and it's space to add drives.

Next I went with a Asus A8V Delux Mobo with the K8T800 chipset (939) socket.
I then went ahead against my better judgement LOL (right out the window on this one) with the AMD Athlon 64 4000+ to drop into the Mobo.

To compliment the CPU and the board I went with OCZ Preformance series dual channel 184 pin DDR 400 PC3200 cas latencey 3-3-3-7 matched 2X 1 Gig

As for drives I went with 2 WD 120 Gig HDD, 1 LiteOn DVD/Burner, and a LOL..I know know one but me uses them any more but a Sony Floppy Drive.

And to power all this monstrosity I purchased a Ultra X Connect 500 watt PSU from Tiger Direct, I went more then I needed at this time but have planes to add more drives possibly in the future...so why have to buy another PSU? right? anyways thats my stuff for now and I hope That i did a good job for my first NEW pc as I have allways gotten handme downs and had to upgrade to make them fairly decsent.

    Happy Holidays to all

    :D

    Tight man.

That is some fine rig you got there.

My friend has almost the same exact rig as yours except for the memory (he got corsair XMS XL).

    Hope you enjoy it.
