   I renamed the 'My Computer' short cut icon as soon as I installed XP Pro some 12 months ago, and it has remained stable ever since. However in the last few days it has twice reverted to the default name.
   
   I have again re-labelled the icon and all remains stable - for now!
   
   Is there any simple reason why the lable should change?

   I've no idea off hand, but you might like to look at this Registry 'hack' to rename My Computer - scroll down the page ~ 2/3 way down .....
